Title: Indoor light industrial production
Post by: Mario Stockinger on August 17, 2017, 09:23:05 AM
Our company is designing and building industrial plants.

To show our customers how the plants could look like we render them in keyshot (step file import)

My biggest problem is the indoor light.
I dublicate the ceiling for each lvl - set it to area light diffus and define the power  (watt) and set it to hide for camera.

It often creates hot spots and shadows of the area lights  are visible. Some areas are too dark, some areas have too much light.

Any advice what i could test ? Placing lights per hand is no option because that takes way too much time.

At the moment its a lot of try and error

Interior lighting is indeed challenging!
Are you using KeyShot 6/7 and using the interior rendering mode?

Might help you to get a better looking result.
