Title: Dropdown menu in the material graph to quickly switch between scene materials.
Post by: Esben Oxholm on August 23, 2017, 04:59:41 AM
I often switch back and forth between different material graph and I thought it could be nice to have an option (maybe a dropdown menu with material names) to switch between the scene materials without leaving the graph at all.

Kinda like you can switch between workspaces in the graph in Modo.

Best,

+1 on this. Especially since the current behavior of the Mat Graph is to open up all wonky with the adjustments pane taking up 98% of the window, and the node pane shrunk way down to microscopic proportions. Having the MatGraph winder stay open all the time would be great. Maybe a preference for when an object is double clicked to open in matgraph instead of the material editor.

For eveyone's information, you can always right click a material in the realtime view or in-project material list and select 'Edit Material Graph'.

Good one, Dries. I actually didn't realise that. Thanks for pointing it out!
It eliminates a lot of the hassle I had, that the dropdown would solve.
