Title: Rendering Metadata in Photoshop file
Post by: mattjgerard on August 29, 2017, 08:11:36 AM
Would be cool if there was a way to embed the rendering data settings (mainly max samples) into the photoshop file. I'm going back and having to redo some images, and would be great to not have to guess how long I let them bake on the network renderer.

This setting doesn't seem to be saved in the keyshot file's render settings? Is it supposed to be?

Thanks!

Metadata output is already in KeyShot 7 as an experimental feature.
You will need to edit the KS7Settings.xml file to expose it in the UI. Shoot me a PM if you want to get into that.

We are currently finetuning and testing this feature for release.
The idea is that the render and scene settings get written to a sidecar text file, accompanying the rendered image.

PM sent. this would help me solidify a workflow for revisiting images with the other artists I work with.

Cheers!
