Post by: fa2020 on October 06, 2017, 10:34:20 AM
Hi,
I modeled this rim in SW and rendered it using Keyshot. It's ready to be manufactured. I like to get feedbacks from you.

Neat look!

I've designed a number of wheels in SW, but IMO, the spokes look scary thin.  Did you run an FEA on the design, especially lateral and torsional deformation under load?

Yeah, it can tolerate standard weight for passenger cars.

Great, and a good job!  I really like your design, as it's sharp and clean, no fuss, and simply elegant.  So many wheel designs today are just to show off how clever the designer is and how CNC can create almost anything, and IMO, most look pretty silly.
