Title: Vintage Metal and Giving Away Our Secrets
Post by: imikej on November 02, 2017, 11:51:28 AM
Just finished this last (maybe) render from a beautiful model of a vintage Triumph motorcycle engine. We picked this really detailed model to dig deep and see whether we could solve tough materialization problems. The problems did not disappoint. Lots of uses for anodized metal that may not be obvious. Sadly, we couldn't figure out how to use cloudy plastics, but we used about every other material as a base point in this project. Then we thought, why not give away some of our not-so-well-kept tips and tricks on Behance.  After all, you #canttaxnorevenue.  So, here is a link to more pics of this bad ass motor and to our #tips (that you probably already know). https://www.behance.net/gallery/58418713/Tips-from-Down-On-The-Render-Farm

Beautiful render, and wonderful subject. Have a soft spot for those. You did it proud!

And thanks for the links, I devour everything I can get on this sort of thing, so it is much appreciated.
