Title: Help with model to make it more realistic.
Post by: Yeraypabon on November 03, 2017, 09:21:16 AM
Hey guys! Newbie here at using Keyshot.
I have these models I'm working on for an extracurricular project, and I would like the render to look more real.
All the parts in the models are 3D printed so I tried adding bumps in the texture to mimic the surface of 3D printed parts. I definitely need to learn and work more with the lightning.

What tips and hints can you guys give to improve this?

Cool. First off, I recommend using ANYTHING but the startup/default lighting HDRI. Usually an interior will look nicer. Also, avoid pure 100% white colored parts because they tend to look too bright. Finally, be sure to use some plastic materials. Yours here look like they could still be diffuse (the default material).
