Title: Invisible objects that capture shadows
Post by: Lenio on November 03, 2017, 10:23:49 AM
I use Keyshot to often place rendered products into stock photography, and it would be greatly helpful if I could output my renderings with shadows and/or reflections onto invisible surfaces that align with objects/walls/etc., in the stock photo. Is this a feature already? If not, can it be? Thanks!

You can apply the ground material to these objects. They are invisible in the output but can catch the shadows.

Hope that helps

Unfortunately going with the ground material takes away from that object casting its own shadows back onto the 3d models. Does this make sense? I can provide sample renderings if it would help...
