Title: Jagged Curve Edges
Post by: srwalke on December 01, 2017, 03:31:06 AM
Hello all,

I am a newbie to Keyshot. I was trying to render curved I beam in Keyshot. We have Keyshot integrated with Solid Edge ST10.

What exact settings I need to use to smooth out the edges of the beam. If you see the image the edges of the bend are not smooth. I don't understand why this is happening.

Any guidance in this regard will be much helpful. Thanks in advance!

Can you either try increasing the tessellation settings upon import in the KeyShot import dialogue? Otherwise, can you increase mesh settings in Solid Edge? Most CAD applications have a way to do this (even if they're NURBS-based).

Thank you! It worked perfectly when I imported obj file into Keyshot again. Earlier it was directly opened into Keyshot from Solid Edge. Many Thanks!
