Title: Flat texture render?
Post by: lopster on December 02, 2017, 11:20:48 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to render out a color pass of a model with polypaint (imported from zbrush).
I've applied the flat material (https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/K7M/pages/37955478/Flat), but still get shading information in my render.
It does work when I disable the texture, but is there a way to achieve a shadeless result with textures enabled?

Thanks in advance!

ZBrush Polypaint is exported as MatCap textures to KeyShot. So they will always have some inherent shading, even when using Flat materials.
If you want unshaded results, then you should use texture maps instead of Polypaint.

Thank you so much for the info. I hadn't noticed that before and it turned out to be the solution for my problem as well!
I simply had the 'Flat Color' MatCap active while sending the mesh to KeyShot and that did the trick :)
