Title: Game Boy Original
Post by: SalvaCGI on December 18, 2017, 11:49:03 PM
Hello!

This is one of the projects I'm more proud of. I know I still have a lot to learn about 3D design and rendering, but I think this one is not bad at all! What do you think?

I designed it using Catia V5 and the rendering of course with keyshot.

Thank you very much!

Oh yeah. That looks really good. Also thumbs up for the Zelda cartrige.

That game boy had a few days of my lifetime.

Great job!

Marco

Ha, a few days at least!

Classic, and you've done a great job capturing it.

Dang. Nostalgia here. I had all these. I think it's fantastic... one thing that could really bump this up I think is making it a bit less shiny looking. Maybe some more roughness on everything and even reduce the IoR if it's been increased.

Also, rounded edges are your friend! Don't forget to use KeyShot's rounded edges... some of the details on the gameboy are razor-sharp.

Geometry, composition and labels look great though!

Nice details, cool model, great lighting. Nothing to say here, great work !

Agree with Will on rounded edges.
