Hey guys,
This is my first post here. I always wanted to dig deep into Keyshot but somehow lacked motivation to do non-paid work lol.
So I hope to keep learning by doing, that is why I am starting to share my work publicly - hope that will give some motivation.
Here is first render (there is lots of Photoshop here but I am hoping to move on material close ups soon).
I am also trying to capture my workflow (to remember and to share), here it is if someone is interested:

Please comment, critique and suggest. I will try to incorporate all the suggestions in my next renders that I hope to keep posting here.
Thanks!
Welcome! Fantastic start.
Thanks Will!
Off course that is not the first render of mine, but one of the firsts when I really try to achieve something I have in mind, rather then just showcase product on a white background :)
Oh! I saw your post count was 2 and thought it might have been the first one you shared here. Cheers.
Hello again,
I am working on a new render - leather radio.
I have made a quick setup with Keyshot provided materials for a first sample. Thing is (despite the fact that I do not know when to stop in post) that it lacks realism. Sure, I will re-watch Esben's tutorial on leather and work on that but rather then this I am not sure through what steps I can improve my render to increase feel of realism but to keep new product look. Is there is some "to do in every render" steps to improve my workflow? I guess I am talking mostly about plastics now.
I have played with specular and bumps but I am newbie when it comes to material graph. What should I do so it wouldn't look so "plasticky"?
Thanks for any advance, it helps my to improve my skills!
P.S. No labels yet.
