Title: Gem material color node ?
Post by: zooropa on February 13, 2018, 02:00:32 AM
Hi. I am using a GEM material downloaded from KS cloud.
I am trying to tint my ice with colors...There is a color channel for the material in the basic UI. Why I can not see it in the MG  ?

Thanks

Have you ever tried to throw that connection link in the middle of a node?
It is not necessary to hit the bubble ports.

Just give it a try.

Ah - I see.

The color of Gem materials has no connection to a node. You'll see that the small icon (left side of the color box) is missing. So you can't link a texture as a color. And so a connection (port) in the material is also disabled.

That is strange...since it has a color option.

The material graph usually enables more options not less, that was the reason of my confusion.

Thanks for clarifing
