Title: Premiere frames bug?!
Post by: PeterSwift on April 12, 2018, 11:50:26 AM
It seems to be a nasty bug in Premiere and i wonder if anyone has a any work around.

I render my animation in frames, when i have imported a image sequence and play it.  It kinda works, but the model jumbs around,   almost like the order is wrong.   jumps around in the time line.
Is there anyway you can edit the image sequence to verify..
Anyone else has this problem. Sorry i can provide video.

If files names are
Image_1
Image_2
Image_3
Image_4

Instead of
Image_01
Image_02
Image_03
Image_04

premiere has historically had problems with reading those sequences properly. Try to make sure you have the same number of digits in the sequence numbers.

There might be other problems, but this is one I've found.

Thanks for the input.

The bug dissapeared now.   I had problmes when i used PNG with transparency but not "normal" PNGs.   I have not double checked these findings.

I haven't really noticed any issues importing image sequences. What's your frame output setting look like?
Mine typically follows the following format : TruckName_FrameRangeBeingRendered.%d.png
ex:   PLST_832-1096.%d.png

And then the other question is just how are you importing the sequences into Premiere? Maybe there's something goofy depending on which method??
