Title: Braun RT20 Radio
Post by: JimmyToTheBe on April 17, 2018, 06:34:26 AM
This render is a take on the Dieter Rams design from 1957, remodeled in Solidworks for the https://www.instagram.com/renderweekly/ (https://www.instagram.com/renderweekly/) group on instagram for Week 2. Check them out for ideas on some render practice if you run out of ideas.

Unfortunately I missed the deadline for this week but I maybe I'll do the next one. See what you think?

Clean. I like the wood and subtly lit edges. The top radius reflection might be a little too hard? Without seeing the end, it looks more like a chamfer. Dial shadow might be just a tad heavy.

Very nice lighting. I especially love the glow inside the tuner... window... thing. Sorry. Not sure what it's called. :)

Thanks guys. I could go on and play around more with the lighting to catch the edges right. I did use an occlusion on the white plastic to help darken it enough that it wouldn't look so white, which is why the shadowing appears around the buttons a bit too much.
