Title: Odd Shadows
Post by: Mike F on April 26, 2018, 10:57:54 AM
Hi all,

I'm working on a render with a new model and I'm having a problem with some dark shadows on the object.
The model has been imported from DazStudio 4.10 to Keyshot 7.
It only seems to be effecting the hood of the model as shown here.
Is there way way of getting rid of these shadows from within Keyshot.

Thanks.
Mike.

might be broken normals instead?
try to recompute them using the geometry editor in KS

it might also be a too small resolution of the model.
can you check how many triangles you brought in?
maybe re-tessellating in a higher resolution might help ...

Many thanks guys.
I have found by increasing the Minimum Edge Angle it solves the issue  :)
