Title: Material 'streaking' in Render but not realtime
Post by: PeterH on July 29, 2018, 07:18:24 PM
Hi All,
I am having an issue of 'streaky' lines appearing through my renders of upholstered products. The streaks do not appear in the Realtime view, only when I render out the image.
Rendering at, Resolution: 1600x1075 - 300DP - PNG. rendering at Maximum time (have gone up to 1hr 30 mins per image)
Have attached the Render image vs Realtime image for comparison.
Help would be greatly appreciated as thus far my troubleshooting has failed to fix it!
Cheers,

Hi All,
I managed to fix it!  ;D (at least I think I have fixed it)
Despite, setting the render output to either a maximum time or max samples, I found that the material textures have a 'Samples' setting which was defaulting to 6 samples on the upholstered textures, I increased this to approximately 60 samples for the material and the 'streaky' lines have disappeared!
If anyone can confirm that this was indeed the right solution, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
