Title: Backplate image colors are different in keyshot
Post by: PeterSwift on September 10, 2018, 09:13:42 AM
I think I read about this before but can't find it again.
I save a background from photoshop with a specific colorcode. PNG, or jpeg. Use it as backplate, and it looks completely different. I tried 8bit JPEG; 8Bit PNG, 16bit; JPEG; 16bit PNG. TIFF.
Nothing works.
It looks wrong in keyshot and the same when I render out.
it's a lot more vibrant

Any ideas what im doing wrong?

EDIT:
If i put in the same RBG code as a "color" background it's also to vibrant. It looks the same as the backplate. If I uncheck the hidden setting "Use gamma corrected values for input"
Then it looks closer to the correct color but still way off. ,less vibrant, (more yellow then orange)

Looks like you have to adjust your gamma settings perhaps?
In the Project panel, under Image there is a Gamma slider. Also in the preferences there's Color Management.
Now, as for how to use those settings... I'm clueless. But it looks like a gamma problem.
