Title: Squarish Sun? and no 32 bit tiff for Displacement?
Post by: Chris_80 on October 11, 2018, 10:49:03 PM
Hello,

I am currently playing around a bit with the Sun and Sky in Keyshot 8 and the sun is kind of a big pixel.
How can I fix that?

Thank you,
Christian

Try reducing the "Sun Size" in the HDRI Editor. Also adding some blur could help.

Thank you Rex but I tried that already, when I blur the Sun it becomes giant and I can't make it smaller

Is this a screenshot taken after adjusting the Sun & Sky? If so, then the Environment is likely in "draft" mode. Try clicking the regenerate button on top of the Pins list in het HDRI Editor tab (double circular arrow). That will generate a full resolution, high quality version of the Environment.

Thank you very much Dries, I wasn't aware that I have to regenerate my environment. My fault! Such an important button is quite hidden

Thanks Dries, that button is really important! My environment looks so much better, like night and day!!!
