Title: How was this Background achieved?
Post by: Zander85 on September 16, 2011, 10:37:39 AM
Guys I am trying to replicate this turn table:

My question is this: How do I recreate this type of background in Keyshot? Is this red background achieved by creating an HDRI from scratch or tweeking an existing one in photoshop or is this effect achieved with another sort of method I have not thought of yet?

Should I just use a back plate made in photoshop and composite it together in Keyshot? And if so what is the best way to recreate a backplate that would look like the example provided?

Personally, I believe when you get in to doing things like this that it's hugely a personal preference of how to do the task. It's a solid background that isn't moving so it could definitely be done in Photoshop and just use a studio type lighting with it. They may have a solid color background with a spotlight on the ring creating the light underneath it. Probably many other ways of doing something similar.
