Title: Passes = Beauty image are not working [following the manual]
Post by: zooropa on September 18, 2019, 03:46:16 AM
Hi. I have been reading the manual:
https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/K8M/pages/315588719/Layers+and+Passes
(https://luxion.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/K8M/pages/315588719/Layers+and+Passes)

Accordingly to the support material: "Adding together the Lighting, Global Illumination, Caustics, Reflection and Refraction Passes allow to achieve the beauty image, In Photoshop, adding is done by setting each pass layer's blending mode to "Linear Dodge (Add)".

Unfortunately the outcome is not the render, but layers burn into a kind of alpha look.

Did anyone manage to achieve the actual render by setting up the specified layers into linear dodge ?

Thanks a lot

Can confirm - it doesn't work for me too.

Dries had posted about this a while ago, but I can't find the post right now. It seemed that for some reason there wasn't really a way to rebuild the render from the passes and have it look the same. Unsure as to why.
