Title: Optimum comp specs for Keyshot?
Post by: Jayceyned on October 05, 2011, 11:48:05 PM
Hi guys,

Can anyone let me know a set of optimum computer specs for running Keyshot; I'm not interested in the min. spec's, but ones that would mean i'd have little problem rendering out products with quite a bit of exterior detail ie. multiple glass components stacked on top of each other in combination with texture bumpmaps?

I only ask as I've been having a few issues recently with Keyshot taking forever to output renders & crashing along the way and I've just figured out that it was the glass and bumpmaps mentioned above that were causing the issues and I wondered if maybe my computer's not beef enough?

Any suggestions would be most welcome,

Thanks loads, really appreciate your help on this.

Jay.

I think that's hard to say ... cuz as is always the case with computers .. there ain't not upper limit .. there's only an upper limit in your wallet.

Maybe I should re-phrase my question,

out of interest, what spec computers are people using with Keyshot and do they feel satisfied with its performance?

Maybe then I can compare the spec's of my work computer and see if they are massively under what you guys are using?

Thanks for any info.

Jay.
