Title: black reflection+HDRI pins light subtraction method
Post by: sahibzada on April 16, 2020, 04:03:43 AM
Hello guys, i just started using keyshot again. I have been watching Virtual KeyShot World 2020 - Lighting Advanced_ Setup, Animation, and Customizations (LIVE). In this tutorial at 1:08:17 there is one pin with Black light( i believe it is for subtracting the light from selected areas) How to do that? And why do i have that black spot at the top of bottle. How to remove it?

Just make a pin then change the color to black and set the blend mode to Alpha to get this effect. You can also set the brightness of a regular pin to a negative value but I think it´s easier to control with the first method. If the shadow is too strong you can adjust the value of the pin to a grey.

Not sure I understand the problem with the black spot at the top of the bottle. In the Tutorial Video you mentioned Will´s bottle looks even darker in that area which is realistic I guess.
