Title: Elven Structures - SLI GPU - 6 mins - 23 Million Polys
Post by: Jet3D on July 05, 2020, 03:57:25 AM
Hi guys,
I though I would share a Keyshot piece.
Bored with lockdown, I came across an old concept by Neil Richards and he said that I could interpret and build a 3D printable model, based on his art.
This gave me something to do for a few days and thanks to Keyshot, it allows me to share the model. This was rendered on two GPU's @ a crazy 5000 samples in 6 mins.
I know the samples were overkill but, what does it matter when it renders 23 million polys that fast!

The only issue that I had was that the scene would only GPU render when Denoise was turned OFF - If it was on I would get GPU errors / black render or a crash.
With denoise off, the GPU's would render fine. (CPU would render fine with denoise on but took far too long).

Hope this helps someone.
Regards, Jet

Wow, very cool. This looks great, Jet.

Can you send the issues to support@luxion.com or post in the support forum? Not completely certain but think it may be related to GPU memory.
