Title: Custom '50's Truck
Post by: Ed on July 30, 2020, 08:24:19 AM
I modeled this custom truck in MoI (a NURBS modeling program) and posted a tutorial on their forum.  It's inspired by trucks from the 1950's, integrating lines and features from Ford, Chevy and Studebaker. I blended contours and features I liked from each truck and added some customizations like Camaro bumpers, '59 Cadillac tail lights, Chevy Nomad tailgate bars and Tesla door handles. The result is the custom truck I'd love to build if I had the resources and skills. These days I drive an electric car, but have feelings of nostalgia for the loud and wild custom cars and trucks I grew up with in Los Angeles in the '60s.

I enjoy "mixing" my own metallic paint colors in Keyshot and experimented with subtle fades to add more dimension.   Special thanks to Tim Feher for the Keyshot tutorials he's posted over the years.
