Title: Virtual Locations
Post by: Paul Lang on September 11, 2020, 06:17:06 PM
When you can't shoot on location, you just build in CG. Here is a recient project where COVID restricted the ability to shoot on location. Talent shot in studio everything else modelled in Blender and rendered in Keyshot

Sure thing.

Track: All modelling was done in Blender. Two stand-in talent models were created,  First Stand-in model is a plane cutout created using the photograph for matching lighting and perspective. Second model, 3D People and posed in Blender to match pose specifically to get accurate casting shadows. Shattering medium, fog for the haze.

Basketball: Pretty much same process, Basket ball in Blender and used the pattern tool to scatter them.

You can find more cases of Keyshot mixed with traditional photography our site here. http://www.theorangeapple.ca

cheers,
