It would be great ho have the possibility to animate the brightness of the background.

Hello Eugen.

Would it be helpful if you use a sphere with an emissive material as a background? Then you could use a number or color animation for the intense parameter. But don't forget to use the experimental feature ray mask in the opacity channel with the seen in reflection option.

Hope that makes sense

Cheers
Marco

Hey Marco,

that makes a lot of sence and it works, but it doubles the render time per frame.

Thank you very much for the workaround!

Edit: Threre are some other issues with the ground shadows. So it doesn't work for all the scenes.

So there should be a script solution - if I remember right, the brightness parameter can be edited via script - BUT - that makes the entire workflow slightly complicated, cause the script has to push every frame into the queue.

I see. Thanks Marco. Hope Luxion will implement it some day.

This also doesn't work with GPU render. So if you're using GPU render then it will increase your time by much more than double.
