Title: Spinning car wheels?
Post by: eze49 on November 22, 2011, 10:22:30 AM
what are your methods for getting motion blur in wheels?  I am familiar with photoshop methods but would really like to find a cleaner method, maybe CG, pre-render... I found a write up for 3dsmax but that requires rendering out of 3dsmax with vray which would be problematic since im rendering the rest in keyshot..  i wonder if there is a way to blur it in another program and save it as a obj. (saving the wheel as a blurred wheel but still with all the geometry) and bring it back into keyshot for the rendering process.  or is there a workaround with keyshot 3?

any comments appreciated!

guess ill just keep doing it in photoshop until then.. :/ right now its just an extra step in photoshop but its never thaat perfect and takes some tweaking, it never looks as nice as doing it pre-render would, such as in 3dsmax.  Im surprised Keyshot 3 didn't address this what with a lot its users doing automotive work, which makes me wonder what everyone else is doing.
