If you change your resolution in the 'Settings' tab (with the other realtime settings) to 1920x1080 or half that, 960x540, click Lock Aspect.  When you go into the render tab, you should be able to type in 1920, and have 1080 pop into the other box.

Is it possible to set higher resolutions than 1920x880?
Everytime I want to set individual settings like 4096x2160 (resolution) it switches back to the low presets.
When I try to change print sizes while adjusting inches or cms it sets itself back as soon as I want to change to enter the second
setting (hight/width).
Because of that I cannot render any usable image for printing.

You will need to have KeyShot Pro. This will allow you to render images with "unlimited" resolution.

You mean my educational version (3.1) does not allow it?

Correct - the education version is the equivalent to the KeyShot base version.
