Title: Matching material color with Pantone ref
Post by: Flavien on January 06, 2012, 12:34:23 AM
Hey guys ! I'm new on keyshot, and I try to digitalized a range of plastique and rubber material.
My problem is on the diffuse color.
I'd like to have a picture color the closest as possible to the corresponding Pantone reference.

Any idea on the methodology I have to use to make a material from a physic sample, and from a Pantone ref ? (lighting, material settings...)

Thanks or your help !

The easiest way is to use the corresponding RGB value for the Pantone color you are trying to match. Keep in mind that color is influenced by material and and lighting.

Use a free download called pixie. Bring up the panatone color on the screeen and Pixie will decode it into RGB.
