Title: VW Beetle type 1
Post by: EGON on May 15, 2010, 02:09:54 PM
I found this model on one of the free sites. Kind of a janky model but ok if you don't get to close. Going for that snap
shot look. Added some graduated fog and desaturated the back plate a little.

Thanks man. My favorite. Gravel pit. I even use it for studio shots.

Hi Egon,

I like also the fire-extinguisher. ;D

The images look great. The reflections do indeed show that it is the gravel pit - particularly the reflections on the rear bumper and the wheels. I would be curious to know if you tried any of the hdri-locations environments?
The one included in KeyShot from Iceland has lighting similar to the gravel pit.

Thanks Henrik . I like the gravel pit in this case because of it's sky. Iceland would have made the wheels look better.
I could have done two renders with one of each and just composited the two. Here's one I did using the forest road.
The bush hides.................... ;)
