Title: sparkle on diamonds with fix camera plan
Post by: fario on February 29, 2012, 02:51:40 AM
I think of a more attractive option to make an animated scene of a still shot camera without moving objects ... ...

For example, an option to move the image HDRI environment in the timeline.

Take the example of a watch with diamonds:

or cars:

This will permit the to have a fixed camera plan with an animated effect: sparkle on diamonds.

+1.  Think of the flow of reflected clouds, or a sunset, over the forms of a car, but the car is stationary, as is (or not) the camera. That would be so nice!

What if they'd make a HDRM .. (M standing for movie) ... where the HDRI environement is actualy a movie ... then you could have REAL sunset effects !
That'be awesome, no ?
I'll keep dreaming ;)

another idea would be to rotate a 3d ceiling above the stage, not visible.

Add a turntable(or rotation if you want a different axis) to the model

Add an orbit to the camera

Make sure the degrees, duration, and easing of the two animations match.

With this, the camera and model will move together giving the effect of the environment moving.
