Title: Random Surface Generation
Post by: leozug on May 01, 2012, 09:40:04 AM
When I import models from Solidworks, sometimes it will create a random surface spanning two edges. It creates a shadow for it, and can't be removed in the "scene" area. It's useless to render the object when there is a large surface that's not supposed to be there. Restarting doesn't work. Neither does modifying the model. Keyshot is simply creating surfaces. Now what?

Have you tried using "old importer" in the advanced section of the import dialog?

That seems to have worked. What is the difference? Any idea why it's happening at all?

These are 2 different importers. We decided to with so we can support the Mac version as well. As there are still some issues with the new importer, we decided to keep the old one around.
