Title: Possibility to map different textures on differents faces to the same object
Post by: MarcB on May 03, 2012, 09:22:34 PM
For the moment I have to put different color on each face in Pro/engineer before export in keyshot
But if I forget it I have to export a second time and more
I work with wood and the faces have not same texture that the side

I tend to agree with this request.  Having an "explode" option for a certain part, which un-links all faces, might be handy for those cases when you forgot to do it in your CAD-ware.

We have the information per surface. If you import with the option "keep individual parts" you will get every surface as a separate part. This is certainly not desirable. We have to think of a way to be able to expose surfaces on the part level as desired.

Perhaps if you import all  faces separatly but with a grouping by part in the tree with possibilty to affect texture on all the group or face by face
