Title: a 'shutter' option for animation rendering
Post by: mmmster3d on July 29, 2012, 04:48:01 PM
this would come in handy for simulating motion blur in still images-
as of now you can render individual frames from an animation (a wheel rotating for example)
problem here is each frame is as a still, and instead i just want one frame with the motion blur (a blurred wheel)
if there was a shutter option, i could tell it how long i want the shutter open to capture the rotation of the wheel.  end result being one frame rendered out, with the motion blur applied to it.

would be cool huh?

as of now i am rendering out multiple frames and blurring them together in photoshop- result is not perfect and it takes time to render out each frame as well as to composite them.
if anyone has any tips for making this better/ easier i am all ears.
