Title: Wheel spin + dust
Post by: EGON on August 01, 2012, 02:17:50 PM
I found a good tut for making wheel spin in PS. I figured I'd give it a shot instead of instead of using a photo. I made the dust with a cloud brush and some blurs. I did all the retouching on a 1000 pix wide render. Don't ask me why but I did.

Neat!  But I wonder if it's too much wheel spin for the (physical) environment?  The amout of spin would be just right for an INDY car, but maybe not for an off-road climb?  Just a thought.  So what's the tut you refer to?  It would be a great trick to learn.

That looks like radial blur in PS. It always come out much stronger than one expects from the preview. Easy enough to redo at a lower blur amount. How did you do the dust cloud?
