Title: Flood Hopper - Self Rescuing Boat System
Post by: JimmyToTheBe on August 07, 2012, 11:44:29 AM
The Floodhopper has been designed for flash flood disasters areas. Its main features that make it different from other rescue boats, is that it can be inflated from inside the home or the occupied building.

Cool model, great reander.  I dont think i`d want to inflate inside my home, i would never escape through the front door lol

The model was made in Rhino, with each part having a certain design specification. Like the outriggers had to have enough support for carrying 2 fully grown adults or lets say, the rope rings had to be made to existing designs to meet safety standards.

It was tested and corrected over a few months to get the right design.

Oh and you would be able to inflate it inside your home, as the design is able to fit through every doorway on the market.

Thanks very much, the water was a key part for the context of the image. Im glad it came out well and refracted the paddles too.
