From many previous posts, the KeyShot team has stated that this isn't a direction they're pursuing.  However, in the spirit of the upcoming election, I wouldn't mind seeing some lively in-depth debate on the pros/cons associated with each, and some better understanding of why KeyShot prefers CPU.

Plus, isn't there a GPU check box hidden in preferences? What's that do?

Don't all check it and crash Keyshot!!   ;D

Hi

The GPU checkbox, which is called now "graphics effects", activate / desactivate post effects like DOF and Bloom. No effect on calculation.

Regarding the use of GPU for rendering calculation, you can read here a clear answer : http://keyshot.com/forum/index.php/topic,4597.0.html
