Title: Getting inside a building to start modelling
Post by: matt austen on October 09, 2012, 04:06:48 AM
Hi.

I am hoping that someone out there can give me a hint on how to get started on an image. I am new to any form of rendering, I currently do architectural work in Sketchup and am wanting to learn how to render my spaces with KeyShot. I have found some YouTube basic tutorials but they begin with objects like a model car. I need to get into the houses that I am designing to render the rooms inside - when I try to 'steer' my camera in it just ends up dark and lost. Is there an easy way to get in and see a room and its furnishings that someone could give me a hint on?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I would not be so incredibly ignorant to the process but there are no bookstores in my part of the world where I could find the right book to paw over!

Hi Matt, you could try using the 'Select "look at" point' in the camera tab, then adjusting the perspective and the distance slightly. Hope this helps.
