Title: Material WIP's
Post by: Despot on October 12, 2012, 09:05:16 AM
Hey there

After reading a thread in the 'Materials And Textures' forum I thought I'd knock up a Hammertone Paint material, here are the results...

The Russian Samovar also uses a custom designed aged / worn copper material

Any comments are always welcome

Looks like the real deal to me.  Good job.  Wish we had an easy way to share.

Looks awesome. You can share the material by exporting it form the library. Then upload in the materials and textures section for others to download.

Thanks - Here's a slightly bigger image of the copper Samovar, this time rendered with the background renderer, it looks slightly different tonally, not sure why.... settings had not been changed apart from the DOF value was increased from 1 to 3...

Amazing materials! A question a bit of the material topic but do you know what I am doing wrong when I am rendering with DOF the entirer image is getting blurred but when rendering in the viewport it looks fine - any suggestions?

What is the value of the "pixel filter size"? This is butting a blur on the image. I suggest to leave it at default value (1.5).
