Check your Ray Bounces value..I bet they are very low according to the physics of the glass itself, try to increase the value several notches.

I did a fast render for you in order that you see what I'm talking about, check the Shadow Quality and also the ground clearance (make sure your object it's not completely touching the ground..just to make sure that the light beam can go underneath and make a nice transition into refraction..etc).
Other than that..I really like the Martini glass you designed :)
