Title: Newbie question_how to remove tessellation
Post by: bluenite on November 11, 2012, 01:58:58 AM
Usually it is a issue of converted 3dmodel, downloaded from various sources. It can be set directly in KS smoothing, ie the removal of visible faces? Or is it necessary to be done externally in 3d editor? What format for import is therefore most suitable for import?

thanks for the advice

Where is the geometry coming from? Any "smoothing" has to be done in the original modeling software.

well, I assumed that it had to be this way. Original file is *. skp (SketchUp). I have not found where the "smoothing" sets. thx anyway

Often times, the tessellation from SketchUp isn't high enough, especially when modeling objects that have contour to it.
