Title: Inventor
Post by: PhilippeV8 on November 13, 2012, 01:57:27 AM
I've got an issue with Inventor import to KS.

Try this: draw a cube part.  Start a new assembly and import the cube.  Add a second cube.  Now in the assembly, cut away half of one of the cubes.  Save this assembly.  Now import this assembly in KS.  You'll notice that you end up with 2 perfect cubes in KS.

Has this been fixed since v3.2.32 ?  Or is this on the list of things to add/fix ?

Why don't you share the model and we can take a look? The cut is an assembly feature if I understand correctly?

Yes, you can edit and modify in an assembly as much as you want without modifying the actual individual parts.

Ok - are you going to share the assembly, please?

Sure.  As soon as I get back at work.  I am at home now  ;) and will be tomorrow as well.  So Thurseday .. first thing !

I'll make a scene or 2.  Because in an assembly you can also pattern parts, so that you only have to add a part once .. this doesn't import corectly either.  My part was there, but only once and in the wrong location.
