Title: On the fly material un-linking

I've mentioned this before but it would be great to be able to un-link a material when dragging and dropping. For example:
When you drag the material to the surface that you want, currently it will preview/apply to all the materials/surfaces that are linked. I would like to have an option like holding shift to un-link the surface, allowing you to preview/apply the material only to the surface that you are hovering over.

Also, additional fabric materials would be great, like Velcro, and standard cotton. I think I saw something mention canvas, I don't seem to have it in my library. In fact is the Material download section ever going to exist?
