Title: Makita cordless drill
Post by: Shooter on December 02, 2012, 07:52:30 AM
Hi All,

Here's one more from me, inspired by Feher drill renderings. I wanted to give it a go and try to present this model in the best possible way but not sticking to the original (factory) color scheme. Model created by Bram Van Balen, you can find it here:

Lighting was done using HDR editor, and some minor post in PSD. Hope you like it, and i'm open for any suggestions how to make it even better.

All the best,
Voya

Love it... the brushed metal is very nice - some slight imperfections would be nice, but it could well be brand new !!

I think you've nailed the materials. Great color scheme too!

This looks very nice! Do you have any bump on the black plastic? I think adding some fine stimple will add big time to the black plastic.
Its a keeper.

biomechanic: Thank you for your comment, yes it's a brand new :)

josh3d: Thank you, i'm really glad you like it

feher: There's no bump map, this is just a little bit tweaked mate matterial. As always, i'll take your advice and incorporate it in my future works. It means a lot to me and thank you :)

All the best,
Voya
