Title: To the coders of Keyshot3 ! problems with car paint noise algorithm pic inside.
Post by: jadedsoul on December 03, 2012, 04:02:44 PM
Iv been setting up a car paint shader. If you look at the image you can see how the metal flake is being replicated on the vertical axis and on other axis but alway replicated in a line, this is a big problem when i wait 4 hours to see this in the final render. Has this problem been noted an being fixed ??? btw i love this program it has instilled new vigour in my 3D work. rendering was always a headache but now a joy. good things still to come im sure. How about import obj into the working viewport a much needed command. cheers
sorry for the small image, u can rezize it to see the problem areas .

You need to adjust either the number of samples used to render your image or in the metallic paint (for finer control). You can also use the realtime render option with say 64 samples or so. That should get rid of the noise you are seeing.
