Title: IES Light Viewer
Post by: Chad Holton on February 04, 2013, 11:15:56 AM
Hello guys/gals,

With KeyShot 4 coming out soon and the addition of IES lights,I thought I would share a free program that may come in handy... it has for me anyway. There are a bunch of IES lights for free but can be hard to tell much about it from a filename, especially if you have a load to look through. Anyhow, here's where to download: http://www.photometricviewer.com/1_4_Download.html (http://www.photometricviewer.com/1_4_Download.html)

Yes, that is a great tool.

Will there be IES light presets in the KS4 material library?

Yes - I was working on that now actually and came across that program... so many IES files to choose from.
A handy shortcut is to rightclick on the filename and click "copy filename" of the light you like and paste it right into KeyShot, so you don't have to look it up again.  ;)

That's a nice touch Chad ... Is the beta still open or am I too late to join in with the fun ?

Does anyone know of an IES viewer that is mac compatible? I've been hunting about to no avail

Thanks
