Title: v.4.0.66 and 4.0.74 compatible?
Post by: Pepster3D on March 18, 2013, 07:02:52 AM
Hi,
Possibly a silly question but can I go back and forth between v.4.0.66 and 4.0.74, or do I need to install the same versions on all machines?  Thanks.

Should be compatible. But why would you not run the same version on both machines?

I could update the one machine but my other question was do I need to do any license update or anything or will the update just update the software and not mess with the licensing?  (we are running floating licenses)

I didn't want to upgrade the software and then mess up the license.
Thanks.

There are no issues as far as licensing goes.

Hi Thomas,
Well I installed the update from the Keyshot website, and now I am having issues with the floating license.  When I do a "render" from Rhino, it's trying to open up the new unlicensed version of Keyshot, but apparantly it's not the floating license.  So is there a floating install update I should have installed? Thanks.

Yes - the floating installers are different from the nodelocked installers. Can you send an email to license@luxion.com? We will send you the download links right away.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
