Title: Revert Value for Settings
Post by: maymay on April 26, 2013, 01:23:53 PM
It would be nice to be able to revert a value back to what it was when the file was last saved (or to what it was previously set to). I sometimes want to experiment with the environment and then find it was ideal before I started messing with it. At this point, I have to write down or remember all of the values.

See attachment for example.

That would be useful. Same goes for material sliders.

Have you tried UNDO?

Yes, but undo often does not undo a slider move, but reverts to whatever the previous material was.  For example, say you have a black paint and switch it to blue, then tweak the blue roughness or something.  Undo usually will take you back to black.  It does not undo the blue tweaks.

Also, Undo is only helpful if you make no other changes after that that you'd like to keep. This is a feature in Cakewalk Sonar (recording software).
If you change the volume on a track with a slider, you can right-click the slider and select Revert to -12.1 or whatever it is. Very useful.
