Title: Elektrike (WIP)
Post by: Speedster on June 08, 2013, 02:44:31 PM
Hi all;

I've been yacking lately about nPower Surfacing for SolidWorks.  http://www.npowersoftware.com/NewPowerSurfacingOverview.html (http://www.npowersoftware.com/NewPowerSurfacingOverview.html)

I've been playing with this concept for an electric tricycle for some time, but never got around to modeling it, as SolidWorks is almost intractable when it comes to surfacing.  Until now.  The basic body for this was done in about three hours, vs. three weeks or more (if at all) in SW.

These are just rough study renders- I'll get serious later when I've cleaned up some features I want.  You sort of sit/stand.  Based the concept on a chariot.  Intended for short hops, deliveries, warehouse work, that kind of stuff.  A mountain bike it ain't!

Excellent work Bill ! Great use of light to show shape and form.
It's a keeper in my book.
