Title: No point light shadows of Toon objects with 'Env. shadows' enabled on each other
Post by: DriesV on July 09, 2013, 08:04:57 AM
On Toon objects, when 'Environment shadows' is at default (off), shadows generated by a point light from one object are cast across the other Toon objects.
Why is it that this 'casting of shadows on each other' (don't know a better way to put it :)) does not happen when the 'Environment shadows' option is enabled? In that case only self-shadowing is visible. There are no shadows from on object onto another.

Physical light shadows between several objects can give a really nice (graphical) touch. However, a lot of geometry definition is lost without 'Environment shadows'.

Please see attached images as reference.

We have improved this in KS 4.2. You will likely get an email soon to start testing some of the new features.
